Lemonade Day, 2014!
June 14, 2014 is National Lemonade Day! Be on the lookout for lemonade stands in the Roaring Fork Valley and show your support. AES 4th grade Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Learners will be selling lemonade in support of their favorite charities and non-profit organizations. Thank you, Heather and the Buddy Program for providing valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, economics, civics, and how we can give back to our local community!
AES Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Learners are seeing red, white, and blue! All grade levels are studying Patriotism and learning interesting facts about our country. Do you know why the Statue of Liberty has 7 rays on her crown? Do you know why the Lincoln Memorial has 36 columns? Do you know how many times the Liberty Bell cracked before it was decided to silence it forever? Ask a CLD learner for the answers!
Fourth Grade Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners open up their new graphic novels purchased by Aspen Education Foundation. What an exciting day!
AES Celebrates Its Diversity!
Did you know that AES students represent 6 continents, 34 countries, and speak 22 different languages? Check out the flags of all of our nations when you visit our school. The display is in the window of the downstairs computer lab. Thank you.
